Browser displays encoded HTML

Jun 7, 2010 at 1:40 PM

I'm in the process of testing the SRE I have set up on my web application, and it seems to be working with one important exception, the browser displays the input as encoded html.

For example:

I have been entering this test string in a text field:

<_>_(_)_#_&_"_'_`_test

The string is entered into the DB correctly, and when the page is opened or refreshed in the browser, the data is encoded in the source file, but the browser displays the string as follows:

<_>_(_)_#_&_"_'_`_test

I'm not sure if this is correct, or if there is somethiung I am missing. All demos or videos I have seen on this subject make it seem as though the code should just work, and there should be no need for decoding.

Is this correct? Is there something I am missing?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

CJ

Hi CJ, I'm on vacation right now (well, time off whilst friends visit, hence me being at my home PC). This shouldn't happen. What control and property are you seeing this in? I'll take a look once I get back next week.
