referencing AntiXss causes VS2008 crush

description

I am using VS 2008 with asp.net mvc 2 and when I reference AntiXss it works on the first build. but then crushes every time I open then project. Any ideas?

Not one I've seen before - do you get a crash dump, or anything in the event log?

I'm working with visual studio 2008, but when I click on the link, it states that my file version is 4.0.31106.0 (file name mscoree.dll)

Now that is weird, that looks like the .NET 4.0 version of the core .NET libraries. Do you have .NET 4.0 installed?

I found why VS 2008 is crushing when refrencing to AntiXss- it's because of power commands addin for VS 2008. removed it and it's fine.
anybody knows why?

yes I have got VS 2010 express - but anyway the problem is power commands

Ah phew, as long as it's not me grin If you can't get any answers from the power commands folks let me know, I'll see if I can replicate it internally and go talk to them.

Rather than reference the DLL you might want to try grabbing the source and adding it as a project - you never know, it might help.
